Trip to Punta Maroma

Today was another driving adventure.  We wanted to experience Playa del Carmen since I have heard so much about it.  Well,  it was the most congested little town I have ever seen!  Driving there was a nightmare.  We couldn’t even get to the beaches.  I couldn’t wait to get back on the highway!  We ended up at a beach away from Playa del Carmen called Punta Maroma and it was very beautiful. But here was the problem, it cost us $10.00 each to get in!  It included being able to use the facilities at Paradise Beach Club, but this is making me really appreciate all the nice beaches on Maui that are free.  I took a swim with my mask and snorkel and it was really nice to get into the ocean!  I saw two huge schools of fish and some other interesting fish, but no tropical looking fish.  When we got back to Cancun, it had started to rain a bit.  Tomorrow is another day, stay tuned!
