Wow!!!!

It was a lovely morning for a walk and swim!  It was breezy, though, so not a Paddling day.  The water has cleared up a lot…. unfortunately there is a possible swell coming by the weekend.  I swam down to the coral and spotted “Peekaboo” under a ledge!  Then I spotted the smaller turtle nearby under a different ledge.  They took turns coming up and I got some great photos!    Oh how I love these turtles!  Then, right before I left….. another turtle swam by and I got some good photos of that one too.  Three lovely turtles to spend the morning with!  Then the wind kicked up and the water got choppy so I swam back.  Luckily the wind was blowing from the East so it gave me a push back.   It was a beautiful day!

After a day of swells and poor water visibility….. it was a good morning for turtles!  I swam for an hour and a half and had five turtles!  I loved every minute!  I hope it’s nice tomorrow….

What a nice day!  Lots of sun and blue sky.    I walked and swam early and although I couldn’t locate “Peekaboo” today…. two other turtles swam with me and I got some great photos!  Then out Paddling…. two Paddling friends and I spotted a big Manta Ray and I even got a pretty good photo of it!  It’s really hard to get photos of the rays because they are fast but I did on the first try!  Amazing.  I hope tomorrow is just as nice…..

The only thing Vog is good for…….

After three days of waves and churned up water…… today was just beautiful!  After my beach walk…. I couldn’t wait to go swimming.  I headed straight down to the coral.  It wasn’t super clear but the turtles were there!  “Peekaboo” changed her hiding spot to a little bit farther out…. so it took me a while to find her, but once I did,  she came up three times to visit.  Several other turtles came around too and one had a fish hook embedded in its neck!  A lady called NOAA and they sent one of their volunteers out to free the turtle.  The turtle wasn’t keen on the guy and she wiggled away several times!  She swam right under me and the fish hook was clear and in my reach….. but the guy said no.  He finally got her over to more shallow water and was able to get the fish hook out.  It was great to see my turtles today!  I swam so long that it got late for Paddling but I went out anyway.  Ten minutes into Paddling…. the wind roared in and was relentless.  I was glad I had not gone far!  At least I got out there….. it was quite a workout!  I more than earned the fish tacos I had for lunch!  I ended up needing two Paddling friends to help me get my board up on my racks because it was so windy…….

It was so gray…… and then, boom….. so much color!!!!!

Vog is in the air.  The tradewinds should pick up again by tomorrow and hopefully blow the Vog and clouds away.  The two turtles I played with this morning were super friendly!  Then after swimming and a snack….. I went Paddling.  Hardly any people were out at the point and I had eight turtles visit me!  I am really enjoying all of these turtles lately…… enjoy the photos!
