Fantastic morning!  Just a breeze blowing from the north but not too bad.  I walked the beach and went swimming.  I swam down to the reef again and really enjoyed the fish and underwater scenery.  Then the wind changed direction and started blowing from the south east.  I ate a yogurt, drank some coconut water and watched to see if the wind was going to back off.  Finally about 9:00 a.m…… the wind backed off enough to lure me out!  I grabbed my board and headed out.  I paddled south and stopped at the point where I got three turtles.  Then I paddled past Kam 2 and decided to turn around….. this unpredictable wind has been crazy.  On my way back…. I stopped at the point and got three more turtles!  By then…. the wind had backed off almost completely and it got very nice.  Then I didn’t want to come in!  Oh well…… I hope it’s nice tomorrow too……

The day started out windy but the sun came out.  I walked the beach and then went swimming.  It was windy off and on…. but when I came in from my swim, the wind backed off.  I saw lots of fish down by the reef and enjoyed looking at the coral.  So much of the coral died when we had that really warm water and of course people put their feet on the coral which damages it too.  Some of it is definitely making a comeback though, so that is good news.  I wanted to go Paddling too but just as I was preparing to go out….. the wind blew in again!   Then it started to look a bit stormy with it clearly pouring rain out by Kahoolawe.  Maybe tomorrow…..

The morning showed such promise!  Sunshine abounded and the water initially very calm and clear.  I walked the beach and then went swimming.  I swam down by the point looking for turtles but I only saw tropical fish and coral.  Lots of different kinds of busy fish though!  I prepared to go Paddling too, but the wind came out of nowhere at 8:30 a.m. and ended that plan! Oh well….. hopefully the wind cooperates tomorrow……

What a spectacular Sunday!  Beautiful weather and great swimming with a turtle buddy!  First I walked the beach…. then swam.  I hadn’t seen any turtles while swimming lately….. so I swam down to the point area and got me one!  It was very friendly and I swam with it all the way back to the lifeguard tower.  That made my day…. but wait…. there’s more!  I went Paddling too and had eleven turtles there as well!  Then on my way back…. I saw a dark fin out of the corner of my eye so I watched it.  Soon three fins came up together and then three more…. it was a pod of dolphins!  I paddled north with them while one dolphin stayed back and was surfacing by the paddlers.  I could see it down below me in the water!  What a treat!  I hope tomorrow is just as nice!

What happened to our sunny mornings?  This is strange weather for Spring but at least there are no waves and the water has remained consistently clear.  I walked the beach and then went swimming.  It was a great swim!  Then it seemed to be staying calm so I took off Paddling.  Not so fast ….. suddenly the wind started blowing from the south east!  But then there were swells rolling from the north so that created a washing machine effect.   I wish the wind would get normal again!  I toughed it out but didn’t dare go past Kam 2.  I settled for the point and ended up with nine turtles.  Not bad!  On my way back….. suddenly the wind decided to back off and the ocean calmed.  Then I really wanted to stay out!  I hope tomorrow is nice…..
