Nice!

Nice morning!  I walked until the sun came up and then went swimming.  The water felt great even though the visibility wasn’t that great today.  I also went Paddling.  I headed down to the boat ramp and that pesky tour boat was there.  I still managed to get four turtles though! On the way back I spotted two small turtles at the point as well.  Six turtles in all!  What a nice day!

Beautiful January day!  The wind actually cooperated today and I walked until the sun rose up over Haleakala.  Then it was an early morning swim.  It was staying nice so I even got to go out paddling!  I headed to the boat ramp and initially had the place to myself.  Just as the first turtle come up…… a snorkeling boat arrived with a group of people.  Darn!  Why so early?  Anyway I had about four turtles visit me today!  I got photos and then left the tourists.  It stayed super nice the whole day.  I hope there are turtles tomorrow too!  Not bad for January!

Still a swell….. still some shore break…. but what a beautiful January morning.  It’s just that time of year……. winter swells.  Hopefully it won’t last too long.   I decided to just go out and back stroke today and the water felt wonderful!  It was actually pretty clear out past the shore break too…. so maybe there is hope for tomorrow.  We will see…..

Beautiful!

What a great start to 2018!  A gorgeous morning and great paddling conditions!  The wind cooperated two whole days in a row!  I walked until the sun rose over the mountain…. then went swimming with a beautiful female turtle….. then went out Paddling.  I headed south to the boat ramp in really nice conditions and had six turtles there all to myself!  Two of them came right up to my board!  It was beautiful!  I paddled back in nice conditions too.  What a great New Year’s Day!  I am hoping for the same for tomorrow…..

Wow!  What a spectacular day!  The wind totally cooperated.  It was a calm beautiful morning and I walked the beach until the sun popped up over the mountain.  Then I was off for a swim.  The water was much clearer today too.  A female turtle appeared under me and I got to swim with her for awhile!  Then I went out Paddling.  I headed south towards the boat ramp.  There was a boat st my spot with 16 snorkelers in the water!  This is a different boat and I’ve seen it there early a few times lately….. I hope it’s not a regular thing.  I did manage to have seven turtles down there despite the snorkelers!  It was so nice!  It ended up being a spectacular day with 8 turtles for the day…… I hope it’s just as nice tomorrow……
