Nice!

What a beautiful morning!  I could already see the potential for it getting windy…. so I walked the beach until the sun came up and then headed out for my swim.  I love it when the sun is coming up and the moon hasn’t set yet!  Within a few minutes of swimming out…..a female turtle swam by me.  I swam with her nearly down to the north end of Kam 1 and thoroughly enjoyed watching her gliding along looking for seaweed treats.  It’s so nice and quiet early …… less people around.  It was a joy to swim with her and photograph her!  Due to the wind… it wasn’t going to be a good day for paddling …. but swimming was great!  Two turtles…. two days in a row….. I really missed them….

Being out of the water for two weeks was horrible!  Luckily it was super windy and stormy looking for a few of those days.  I was overjoyed to get back in the water and swim with a turtle this morning!  I got so excited that I actually took an entire video of the turtle with my camera upside down!!!!  Hilarious!  Luckily I got some good photos though.  I went out Paddling too….. you could say I was desperate because the water wasn’t calm and there were some wind swells pushing from the West.  It was good to get out there anyway!  The wind and white caps moved in and out all day.  I hope it takes a break tomorrow!

Beautiful evening…..

Beautiful morning….. but already windy.  It blew off and on but the water wasn’t calm….. especially for Paddling.  I watched paddler after paddler head out and then be in within ten minutes…. outrigger canoes too.  I hoped the water was reasonably clear but wondered if it was.  As luck would have it…. the visibility was okay (not great)….. but okay.  I swam twice as long as usual and finally had a large female turtle join me!  She was just hangin’ out and I got lots of photos.  She was definitely not trying to ditch me!  The day stayed windy and even on the cool side.  In the water was perfect though!  Hopefully calm water tomorrow….
