Beautiful evening…..

Nice!

It was a beautiful morning.  It was pouring rain over the West Maui mountains…… and a rainbow appeared in the clouds!  The wind was already playing games though.  White caps from the north  were visible from the beach but the wind was swirling from the east.  No wonder it was so bumpy!  Competing winds are hard to paddle in.  I decided to stay close just in case those white caps came roaring in but it was a cruise going north ….. thanks to the east wind that prevailed.  I paddled south and then turned around to go north….. then it was work Paddling against the east wind!  Oh well!  It was great to be out on my board anyway and the water is so clear too!  Swimming was a joy despite the wind but no turtles today…. maybe tomorrow……

What a beautiful day!  The swell is dropping but it still has the water visibility kicked up.  I still had a lovely swim anyway!  I love Maui in the Fall…..

I don’t like the Vog drifting over from the Big Island…… but it sure makes interesting sunsets!

From my backyard…… pretty nice!

It was a swim day today.  I was so hot that I just wanted to get into the water!  The swell that was supposed to come on Wednesday…..started to show signs but it was still pretty mellow and the water really clear.  I was thoroughly enjoying my swim when a female turtle swam up under me.  She was so graceful and I started photographing her.  She swam with me for awhile before she headed out to sea.  What a treat!  It totally made my day…….

It was a beautiful morning and I got out on my board!  I had to wait a bit down at the boat ramp….. but it was worth it…… ten turtles down there and one small one at the point!  I hope it’s a Paddling day tomorrow……

Nice!  Maybe a beach day tomorrow!
