So beautiful!

Nice!

Oh my what a gorgeous day!  The early morning was serene……. and the day just got better and better.  The little bit of wind that was blowing made paddling down to the boat ramp take longer ….. but once I got  there…. it completely backed off and got perfect!  Six turtles visited me at the boat ramp!  Most of them were smaller turtles too.  I wonder where the big ones were hiding out?  On my way back…. I paddled by a couple on stand up boards, and there was a turtle just about to surface but then they jumped into the water and swam after it!  The turtle dove down and sat on the bottom to get away from them.  That made me so annoyed!  My swim was nice too and the water visibility was pretty good.   I want a day like this tomorrow too….. pretty please!

It was a cool calm morning with a crescent moon still up.  Not much cloud cover so no color in the sunrise today.  The day was beautiful with windy conditions threatening to come in….. so I decided to paddle closer to home.  I was just glad to be back out on my board!  The ocean was not the calmest though because of the wind.  The wind ended up backing off around noon and it was much calmer than earlier! Figures!  Oh well, it was still great to get out there.  I was able to swim also but the water visibility was not the greatest.  Hopefully it will be clearer tomorrow…..

Stormy and beautiful!

The wind was predicted and arrived last night as promised.  It’s been super windy ever since last night.  It was great walking early this morning and there was even a rainbow!  The swell had dropped but the wind took its place ….. so no paddling or swimming again today.  Sometimes you just have to sit back and let Mother Nature do her thing……. at least it’s not pouring rain too…

Beautiful morning but the expected north-west swell was already building.  Sure enough….. red flags were posted!   Not a good day for paddling or swimming.  Amazing to watch!

It was a beautiful day!  Just a bit of a breeze blowing which created some choppiness…. but hey…. the Vog is gone for now!  How nice to see the other islands finally and the mountains.  I headed for the boat ramp.  I met up with a paddling friend and we had four turtles visit us!  One turtle was very friendly and hung around us for awhile.  Paddling back was more work!  The wind was pushing against me making me work today but no complaints…. I was just happy to be out on the ocean visiting turtles!
