Beautiful sunset!!

I’m so glad to be home!!!!  Eight days in San Diego of rain, wind and cold was enough!  Always good to see family…… but always a hectic trip too.  Thankfully the weather has cleared up on Maui and the water is also clearing up.  I was able to walk, paddle and swim today!  Home sweet home…… I hope to do the same tomorrow!

A stormy gray day turned into this marvel to behold at sunset!!!!

This weather has been dragging on for nearly three weeks now.  We have had so much rain!  It has really felt like Winter already.  Between the rain…. cloudy skies….wind…. stormy ocean…..swell……and brown water from the storm run off….there has been no paddling or swimming lately.  I’m trying to just enjoy each day….. regardless of the weather conditions and appreciate the rain and all the greenery because of it.  It’s just beautiful!  Good weather days will return soon enough but for now…… I’m getting a few things done and I’ve been baking!  I now make a pumpkin pie to die for…. who knew?  I miss my turtles!

Interesting weather we are having.  Rain…..lots of it, stormy conditions….. a swell, red flags…… a beautiful sunrise sky and now wind, brown water from run-off and a rainbow over KIhei!  Then a gorgeous sunset!  All in a day!  Tourists swimming in that brown murky water too… yuck.  I hope it doesnt take too long to clear up!  It was definitely nice just to sit at the beach in the sunshine!

Beautiful sunrise sky…… lovely day with red flags out but water visibility is clearing up so maybe tomorrow.  Winds are variable which brings the Vog over so there was barely a sunset.   I saw two people out swimming at dusk right where the lady got attacked by the shark almost three weeks ago…… not smart!  I miss my turtles!

It’s been a stormy few days…… with some decent conditions for paddling in between.  The turtles seem absent right now…… they must be hiding.  Yesterday it started to rain in the morning and it didn’t stop raining for 24 hours!  Finally the sun emerged for the afternoon and the sunset tonight was nice too.  Hopefully it will be good paddling conditions tomorrow….
