Beautiful!

It was a lovely sunrise sky today.  The sunrises don’t last long so you have to grab the moment!  The colors are beautiful and I love that time of day….. hardly anyone is out. Later…. The ocean was choppy for paddling with some waves rolling in but I went for it.  I just didn’t get good vibes out there so I came in.  The ocean smoothed out some when I went swimming so I had a good swim.  The swell explained the lack of good visibility in the water compared to days prior when it was really good.  It’s November!  I’m just happy to be able to enjoy the beach…..

It was a gorgeous sunrise sky!  The sunlight played on the clouds creating some amazing colors…… at one point turning the ocean pink!  The entire light show lasted about 10-15 minutes so I’m glad I caught it.  During my walk…. a north wind started blowing.  By the time I got back down to the beach….. the wind had shifted to a south wind and the ocean got choppy.  I went out paddling anyway!  I ran into a paddling friend while passing Kam 2 and then the wind suddenly backed off and the ocean smoothed out.  We kept paddling to the boat ramp.  I didn’t see any turtles today.   On the way back….. the wind picked up again and it got choppy again.   This wind!

Beautiful sunrise today…… nice day for paddling!  I just started out for a nice swim and the lifeguards told everyone to get out if the water!  Apparently some paddlers spotted a Hammerhead shark by the rocks, so they closed the beach.   Then….. a big turtle lumbered up on the beach!   The turtle looked  like my “Bumpy” too!  The tourists went nuts!   The turtle was still there at sunset……and I heard through the island grapevine that the beach will be closed until 1:00 in the afternoon on Thanksgiving day.  There goes my Thanksgiving day paddle!

What a sunrise!  It was amazing but lasted less than ten minutes!  I’m glad I caught it before it was over.  The day was nice too….. but the water a bit choppy with predictions of 40 mph wind gusts!  I decided to just swim and it was a great swim too.  The water just a little bit cooler today but very refreshing….. I saw two large Puffer fish!  I hope it’s nice tomorrow…

It was a colorful start to my day!  Clouds always create such a pretty sunrise.  Then I went paddling with wind blowing from the East.  I paddled in choppy conditions down halfway past Kam 3 and then turned around.  It was a workout!  The wind wasn’t letting up.  Just after I came in…….. the wind backed off!    Figures!  I swam south in the direction of the wind until a turtle appeared in front of me.  I turned around quickly to swim with the turtle.  It was just cruising!  She was very friendly…..swimming right next to me!  We swam together almost to the end of Charley Young Beach.  On my way back….. another female turtle swam past me heading north!  Then a big male turtle swam past me heading north!  Three turtles in one swim….heaven!  It wasn’t long before the tradewinds roared in and I got a boost the rest of the way back.  What a nice day!
