Laguna Bacalar!!

Beautiful lake!!

Beautiful lake!!

This is one amazing lake in Mexico! It’s turquoise blue and a mix of fresh and salt water and it’s warm!  The good news is that they have stand up paddle boards!!!!  The bad news is that it is super windy right now and too rough for paddling or kayaking……so I am hoping that it calms down in the next couple of days so I can get out on a board!  We will also take a boat trip tomorrow and be able to swim in some more cenotes.  One of them is about 250 feet deep!  We are loving it down here in the Yucatan, except for one day I got chewed on massively by mosquitoes at one of the cenotes and was itching for two days.  Now I am getting smarter and taking my bio-safe insect repellent wherever we go!  One day we are going to Chetumal down by the border of Mexico and Belize to explore.  I hope I get to paddle soon since I haven’t been able to at all yet.  I sure miss paddling!!  More later…….  Adios!
