Turtle Day!!

Good morning!

Good morning!

I got out late again today…..but it was so perfect!  I paddled straight down to the boat ramp.  On the way, I ran into a paddling friend and she said she had seen a lot of turtles already!  She was right!   Immediately we had six turtles all at once surrounding us!  Then there were four more surfacing and I got some photos!  Bumpy was among the turtles for today too.  It was so perfect and so many turtles, but then the red snorkel boat roared in and all the turtles disappeared.  I heard the snorkelers saying all the turtles were on the bottom….probably hiding out!  My friend and I started to paddle north when there was a huge splash out farther!  My friend said it looked like a huge manta ray that shot right out of the water and dropped back in!  We have been on the look out for whales lately but hadn’t seen any yet.  The conditions stayed perfect all the way back and just got a little windy from Kam 2 to Kam I.  The water is very clear right now so I am really enjoying all the fish down at the reef.  I followed two large Puffer fishes around for a while and saw a lot of new little tropical fish hanging around the recently exposed reef.  It was just a beautiful day…..I hope it’s this nice tomorrow too!  Later I did see two whales spouting out from Kam 2 too, so maybe they are going to start coming in closer to shore…….
