Short Break in the Wind

Short break in the wind....

Short break in the wind….

So today marks the seventh day in a row of crazy wind.  I don’t recall this many crazy windy days in a row before, but it is getting old!  Don’t get me wrong…..we LOVE the wind….the regular trade winds, but this wind is chilly and unrelenting.  Yesterday there was a brief break in the wind as the white caps raged out farther to sea…..so I got out paddling!  I sure didn’t trust it though, so I paddled north.  I got to Kalama Park and it was still pretty nice.  It sure was nice to get out on the ocean!  I enjoyed every minute and paddled down to Kam 2…… just in time for some clouds to move in and get windy!  I got back okay but it was a challenge carrying my board up in the wind.  I swam in very windy conditions and I could hear the wind howling in my snorkel!  The water was so clear though and I could see lots of fish.  I am more than ready for the normal trade winds to return!!!
