WINDY!!!

Well the wind didn’t cooperate today!  Nope…. It stayed windy all morning and then roared in with a vengeance with a sea of white caps and wind waves.  I went out on my board anyway because I just needed to!  The wind was blowing in close to shore from the south……. But way out the wind was blowing from the north.  This caused competing choppy conditions and made me work really hard!  I headed south first…. Then turned north and paddled down to Kalama Park.  It was a bit crazy out on the water!  I saw a school of jumping fish outside of Cove Park!   No turtles today.  I paddled for almost an hour and then came in.  I really didn’t mind the workout!  By the time I swam….. The white caps and choppy sea had taken over.  I swam into the wind because I knew when I turned around I would get pushed back.  Coming back was a breeze!  Living on Maui you have to appreciate everything and I’m just trying to enjoy each day regardless of what it brings.  The ocean was wild and swimming in the wind gave me a different underwater visual.  Under the water I could see the wind swells pitching and feel each one bounce me around.  The water looked like it had glitter in it because it was so stirred up!  It was just a very windy day.  When I came in from swimming the wind then chased me up to the grass to dry off.  I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
