Another Perfect Day!

So I wanted a day just like yesterday…….. And I got a day BETTER than yesterday!  Lucky me!  It was glassy out on the water and the sky  was clear of Vog.   Lucky day!  I paddled down to the boat ramp and marveled at how clear the mountain tops were!  The snorkel boat was there and had its snorkelers out and there were a few other people on stand up boards plus a two person kayak….. It was a bit busy there for a Monday morning.  I spotted a turtle floating  on the surface so I paddled over by it…. But a snorkeler popped up right when I was going to take a photo.   I was surprised the boat was allowing her to get that close to the turtle but no one said a thing to her.  I recognized the turtle and it was Bumpy!  The turtle got flustered and dove down.  I decided to paddle out farther from the tour boat.  Another big turtle surfaced but didn’t stick around.  Then a turtle popped up right next to me on my right and then another one on my left and I was in the middle!  I hurried to get a photo ( it’s the one up above…).  That turtle stayed briefly and then both dove down and disappeared.  The day was still so perfect!  Four turtles at the boat ramp was still a treat.  I paddled back in nice conditions and it stayed nice for my swim.   The water was very clear!  I decided to swim down farther than usual and see if there was visibility at the turtle haven.  There were so many fish!  Big Unicorn fish…… Baby puffer fish….. Humu Humu fish…. Colorful reef fish and two good sized fish I did not recognize!  I made it to the haven and immediately saw a nice healthy looking female turtle.  She was trying to est seaweed off the rocks close to shore.  I wanted to get closer but the surge was pushing me and the turtle around!  At one point…. She almost flew into me!  After getting jostled around for a while I left the turtle and swam back.  What a super nice day!  I was happy to get five turtles today too!  Can I get another day like this tomorrow please?
