Paddling Day!!

It was a beautiful serene sunrise…. all in pastels.  As the day went on…… It first looked like the wind was going to come in early.  Then it suddenly got really nice even though I could see white caps looming in the distance.  I paddled south in some bumpy, yet glassy swells and they were pushing from the north.  By the time I got down to the end of Kam 2….. the conditions got very funky.  I didn’t trust the wind!  I turned around and headed north.  Then the wind backed off again and the ocean calmed down.  I paddled down to Charley Young beach and once again the conditions got funky!  The wind just couldn’t decide what it wanted to do this morning.  After I came in the wind picked up a bit stronger and putting my board up on my car got interesting!  I made it though.  I swam in a nice lull of conditions and the water was so nice and warm….about 81 degrees!  The water visibility was the best it had been in a week.  I hope tomorrow morning is calm!
