Riding Wind Swells!!

It was a beautiful sunrise today!  There was wind from the start but not too bad.  The ocean wasn’t very calm and there were wind swells rolling from the north.  Other than that…. It was a beautiful day.  I paddled south  with an east wind blowing at me and then the wind swells hit!  They were constant and some of them popping up pretty big.  The swells were behind me and I could ride them!  If was fun but when I turned around…. It wasn’t as much fun paddling against them.  I’m glad I don’t get knocked off my board much any more because this would have been the day for that!  I paddled  down to Charley Young beach and turned around.  I saw four turtles too.  Two were very close to shore ….one large female and a little baby turtle!  It was so cute!   Then on the way in I spotted two more  turtles swimming under the water heading south.  The wind has been tricky this week but the water clarity was great today!  What an enjoyable paddle and swim!
