Turtle Buddy!!

It was a beautiful but windy morning.  I could already see white caps out on the ocean and it was early!  It was sunny though… and a nice low tide for beach walking.  Then I went swimming.  The wind was strong from the north so at first I swam against it.  Then I decided to swim down by the point, but I knew the swim back would be challenging.  The wind and current pushed me easily south.  I was jostled around too but I enjoyed the fish and underwater scenery.  I was heading back north when a small turtle appeared! It was swimming all over by me… it would go under me and end up on my other side, looking right at me!  It was so friendly.  The turtle swam right up to me and let me give it a couple of rubs on its shell!  I got a bunch of photos of it.  We both were getting pushed around by the current and wind…. but it remained with me for quite awhile.  It was so cute!  Then I realized the turtle had taken me all the way back down to the point!  The swim back was definitely challenging now and at times it felt like I wasn’t moving forward at all.  I finally made it back and I was tired out. No Paddling today…not until there is a break in this wind.  Hopefully tomorrow….
