The day started out so calm….. but it didn’t last. The trade winds started early and never backed off. It wasn’t going to be a paddling day! It was a great swimming day, though, and I got to swim with a turtle again today! Maybe the wind will cooperate tomorrow…..
The day started out pretty nice. It was calm for a while but soon the wind came up blowing from the south-east. I wanted to go out paddling….. so I did. I always hope the wind is going to back off…… but halfway into Kam 3, it wasn’t. I decided to turn around and it was a good decision …. the wind changed direction! I was glad I was almost back. By the time I went swimming….. it was choppy! I swam against the wind and then turned around and was almost back when the turtle appeared below me! It was a beautiful female and she came so close to me. I was able to get a video and lots of photos! I was exhausted! Swimming with the turtle made my day……..I loved every minute …

What a nice day! Breezy….. but nice. Not great paddling conditions, but swimming was lovely! And the sunset? Well you decide! Maybe the wind will decide to cooperate tomorrow…….
The day started out perfect like the past few days. But today was different…. the wind cooperated! Finally a nice day for paddling and, of course, I paddled down to my turtle spot and was not disappointed…. eight turtles visited with me! When I paddled into the area…. I was greeted with four turtles all hanging out together. I was sitting right in the middle of them! Then one by one, four more turtles surfaced….. even a couple of very small young turtles. It was so perfect! Then the snorkel boat roared up….. so I left. It was nice conditions paddling all the way back too. My swim was super nice too….. but I only saw fish today. I want more days like this…..please!

The day started out so beautiful and calm….. even got surprised by a rainbow this morning! It looked like perfect conditions for paddling and no white caps looming..so .. I paddled down to the boat ramp! As soon as I arrived, things changed quickly. Soon it was choppy swells and wind out of the south! Oh boy…… I didn’t stay! The sky was looking more and more threatening and it was raining out by Kahoolawe. I paddled back to Kam 1 in more choppy swells! The wind didn’t back off but my swim was pretty nice. I only saw a few fish….. no turtles …… which was too bad because the water visibility was better than yesterday. Oh well…… maybe tomorrow!
