Turtle Day!!

It was another perfect day!  The bit of rain we got yesterday plus the wind blowing north….. has really helped us avoid the worst of the Vog so far.  The beach was perfect for walking and swimming was divine!  I headed down to the point… but just before I got to the coral…. a big male turtle came swimming my way!  Of course I turned around to swim with him.  He was SO friendly that he kept swimming right in my face!  I kept trying to swim away from him to get better photos but he kept following me.  So funny!  I swam with him down halfway to Charley Young beach and then I had to leave him and go in.  It was on to Paddling next!  It was so nice still and I headed to the boat ramp.  I was lucky and had the place to myself initially…… just me and thirteen turtles!  I was loving it!  Then a pesky snorkel boat zoomed up to break the tranquility and dumped off its snorkelers.  It was time to split!  I paddled back and at the point I spotted the tiniest baby turtle yet!  That made fifteen turtles in all for me today….. I’ll take it!  I hope tomorrow is just as nice …..
